Hello again, ozone season

Ozone season begins March 1 and goes through the end of November. These nine months are when ground-level ozone, a common air pollutant, reaches its highest concentration.
During ozone season, think about making a few simple changes in your daily life: try carpooling or taking the bus, pack your lunch for work to cut car trips over the lunch hour and avoid idling. (Hey, even Billy Idol doesn't idle!)
Keep in mind that the level of ozone in Bexar County recently exceeded what is considered healthy. A broad group of community partners are working together to reduce ozone, and the MPO is doing our part. Our 2020 Transportation Conformity Document for Bexar County estimates the effect of transportation projects and plans on the region's future air quality. The public in invited to review the document and comment through Sunday, March 15th.

Public comment methods

▪ Online at alamoareampo.org/airquality/conformity
▪ In-person at all posted MPO public meetings during the comment period
▪ By email to blazosky@alamoareampo.org
▪ By mail to 825 South St. Mary’s Street, San Antonio, TX 78205

If you have any questions, contact Allison Blazosky at (210) 227-8651 or blazosky@alamoareampo.org.
