Community Spotlight | Children's Bereavement Center of South Texas

Unfortunately, one in eight children will experience the death of a parent or sibling before the age of 25. For students, grades, emotional and physical health can suffer. Depression, anxiety and feelings of hopelessness can occur, leaving the family at a loss for how to cope.

In San Antonio for the past 22 years the Children’s Bereavement Center has provided age appropriate grief support programs and counseling at no charge to children, teens, young adults and their families. With a beautiful home-like Center, school-based programs, and camps for grieving children our community can help assure that no child will have to walk the painful journey of grief alone.

For additional information, contact Children’s Bereavement Center at 210-736-4847, go online at, or take a tour of the Center at 11am on the First Friday of each month.
