To further improve
the City of San Antonio's Special Inspection Program, and in accordance
with the International Accreditation Services recommendations, the
department's Information
Bulletin (IB 132) has been revised to require the annual submittal of
special inspector qualifications to the Building Official for review and
approval.
This revision is to
ensure that qualified special inspectors are being monitored and approved
by Development Services. It will help ensure that projects within the
City of San Antonio that have special inspections are not only being
inspected correctly, but are being conducted by qualified individuals.

Our goal is to have
all special inspectors in the system by Jan. 1, 2018.
Space is limited to
the first 60 registrants for this free training. If there is enough
interest for a second training session, DSD staff will schedule another
date.
