City of San Antonio Neighborhood and Housing Services Department Newsletter April 2019

National Community Development Week

National Community Development (NCD) Week is an annual celebration of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME). This year, NCD Week is held April 22-26, 2019 and the theme is “CDBG & HOME Programs Make Communities Better Places to Live and Work."

During this week, there is nation-wide advocacy for federal funding in support of the CDBG and HOME Programs. The City of San Antonio’s Neighborhood and Housing Services Department, in collaboration with our affordable housing and community development partners, will be highlighting San Antonio’s successes with CDBG and HOME-funded activities.

Many people often face discrimination when they are looking for a place to call home. Discrimination can come in many forms from many different people, but there are laws that are in place to protect you.
We want to discuss this important topic, and hear how you or someone you know have been affected negatively by housing discrimination.
Parking is FREE in the Central Library parking garage. Register here to RSVP!
